The Kakwa Community of Seattle is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to supporting Kakwa families and building bridges with the wider Seattle community. The Kakwa are a people from the Central Equatorial region of Africa, with roots in Sudan, South Sudan, Uganda, and Congo. Due to war and displacement, many Kakwa families have migrated and resettled across the world, including right here in Seattle, WA. Our mission is to empower our community by connecting members with vital resources and services that improve lives. Through a strong commitment to social responsibility we strive to be a bridge in Seattle’s immigrant community and create a lasting impact.
